The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) has launched its ‘Study in India’ initiative in partnership with 9 Indian business schools that will allow aspirants from 27 countries to pursue management education in the country.

The initiative by GMAC, an international non-profit organisation of business schools, comes in the wake of the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry’s move to restore India’s reputation as a study destination for higher education in Africa, Middle East, South and East Asia.

The nine business schools associated with the Study in India initiative are: Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA); Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB); Indian School of Business (ISB); Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM I); Xavier University Bhubaneswar (XUB); SP Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR); Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS); Great Lakes Institute of Management (GLIM); IMT Ghaziabad.

According to GMAC, Study in India is expected to build and strengthen preference for Indian B-schools in relevant international markets. Aspirants from these 27 countries can log on to the Study in India website, www.mba.com/studyinindia. They will have the option to secure admission in any of the nine partner B-schools in India using their GMAT scores.

The website not only provides details about the study program, including teaching methodology, course duration, campus life and student fraternity and placement scenario but also about living in India, working in India and studying in India. There is also a video on studying and living in India.

“India has all the elements of becoming a global education hub because it has the unique advantage of providing world class, hhigh-qualityeducation at affordable prices.
