IIMs Announce Cut-offs for CAT 2016

The various Indian Institute of Management (IIM) have announced percentile cut offs for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2016 conducted on December 4 for admission to the management programs. Since the CAT cut offs and selection procedures vary from IIM to IIM, here is a quick look at the percentile figures announced by the business schools.

IIM Ahmedabad has announced that the overall percentile for the General category will be 80, Non-creamy layer-Other Backward Castes(NC-OBC) 60, Scheduled Castes (SC) 75, Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) 70.

IIM Bangalore has set the overall percentile for the General category at 90, for NC-OBC at 80, for SC, ST and DA at 75. For VRC the cut off is: General 85, NC-OBC 75, SC 70, ST 60 and DA 60. For DI and LR the general cut off is 80, NC-OBC 70, SC 65, ST and DA 60. For QA the general category is 80, for NC-OBC is 70, SC is 65, ST is 60 and for DA is 60.

For IIM Lucknow, the overall percentile required for the admissions for General Category is 90, for NC-OBC 82, for SC 70, for ST 65 and DA 70. For VRC, General category cut off is 85, NC-OBC 77, SC 55, ST 50 and DA 55. For DI & LR, General 85, NC-OBC 77, SC 55, ST 50, DA 55. For QA, the cut-offs are: General 85, NC-OBC 77, SC 55, ST 50, DA 55.

For Verbal and Reading Comprehension (VRC), the cut-off will be 75 percentile for general candidates, 50 for NC-OBC, 65 for SC, 60 for ST and DA, IIMA said.

For DI & LR (Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning) the cut off is 70 for general, 50 for NC-OBC, 65 for SC, 40 for ST and 60 for DA. For QA (Quantitative Analysis), the general cut off is 70, for NC-OBC 50, for SC 65, for ST and DA 60. The overall percentile for the General category is 80, NC-OBC is 60. for SC the cut off is 75. for ST and DA the cut off is 70, it added

For IIM Kozhikode, the overall percentile required for the admissions for General Category is 90, NC-OBC 80, SC 65, ST and DA 55. The sectional percentile works out to 90 for General, NC-OBC 70, SC 50, ST/DA 40.

IIM Udaipur has kept the overall percentile for General category at 90, NC-OBC 81, SC 75, ST and DA 65. For VRC, General cut off is 80, NC-OBC 72, SC 60, ST and DA 50. For DI & LR, General 80, NC-OBC 72, SC 60, ST and DA 50. For QA, cut offs are: General 80, NC-OBC 72, SC 60, ST and DA 50.

IIM Bodh Gaya has kept overall percentile for General category at 90, NC-OBC 81, SC 75, ST and DA 65.
