INSEAD Tops QS MBA Asia, Australia & NZ List

INSEAD tops the QS Global MBA Rankings 2018 (Asia, Australia & New Zealand) that has Australian schools grabbing no less than 11 places among the 31-schools list.

The China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) is in the second spot with Melbourne Business School coming 3rd followed by the University of Hong Kong in the 4th spot, AGSM at UNSW 5th and NUS in the 6th place.

This year’s rankings feature 232 international programs. In total, 250 programs were assessed from early 2017 through three separate surveys – QS Global Employer Survey, QS Global Academic Survey and a survey completed by the business schools themselves.

Four Indian Schools find a place in the top 20 with IIM Ahmedabad ranked 7, IIM Bangalore 9th, Indian School of Business (ISB) 12th and IIM Calcutta at 18. Another Indian school, the SP Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR) is in the 27+ ranking.

The top 10 ranking has HKUST in the 8th place and CUHK Business School in the 10th spot. The honours are shared equally in the top ten by 2 each institute from Australia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and India.

INSEAD, which is ranked 2nd in the QS Global ranking, has campuses in Fontainebleau, Paris and Singapore. The MBA program duration is 10 months. The class size is 1055 with the average student age being 29.

They have an average work experience of 6 years, average GMAT score of 707. Female representation is 34% and international students comprise 96% of the class. The fee in US dollars is $90k-$100k. Almost 89% of graduates are employed post 3 Months drawing an average salary of $125,300.

The Shanghai-based CEIBS (QS Global Rank 28) runs an 18-month MBA program. The class size is 187 with average student age of 29 and average work experience of 6 years. The average GMAT score is 686.

International students comprise 39% of the class and women representation is 37%. Almost 92% find employment post 3 months of graduation. The yearly fee in US dollars is $50k-$60k.

The Melbourne Business School (QS Global Rank 34) has a 12 month MBA program. The class size is 52 with average student age of 28 and average work experience of 6 years. The average GMAT score is 705.

International students comprise 50% of the class and women representation is 19%. Almost 96% find employment post 3 months of graduation. The annual fee is US Dollars $60k-$70k.

The rankings are based on the five indicators of Employability (40%), Return on Investment (20%), Entrepreneurship and Alumni Outcomes (15%), Thought Leadership (15%) and Diversity (10%).
