MDI, Gurgaon’s 1-year Executive Post Graduate Program in Management, called the National Management Program (NMP) focuses on developing leaders who excel in the rapidly changing business environment and become agents of change.

According to Prof. Shiv S Tripathi, Coordinator, Executive Placements, the Class of 2018 is a diverse group that includes executives from a variety of industries.

The NMP is accredited by AMBA, the Association of MBAs (UK). Launched in 1987, over the years, it has evolved into the Consortium Executive Program (Consortium Executive MBA) in partnership with ESCP-Europe. The programme is recognized by AICTE as a Post Graduate Program in Management.

In terms of work experience, 56% have 5 to 7 years, 29% have 7 to 10 years and 15% have 10+ years. The average work experience is 7 years.

The class has a gender diversity of 80% male and 20% female. The average GMAT score is 660.

In Industry, 32% is from IT/ITES, 18% Manufacturing, 17% Energy/Oil & Gas, 7% Financial Services & Products, 5% each in EPC/Consulting and Others, 4% each in FMCG and Healthcare, 3% each in e-Commerce and Infrastructure and 2% in Media/Advertising.

In Functional diversity, Operations and Project & Project Management have 24% each followed by Marketing & Sales 15%, Consulting 11%, Business Development 6%, Analytics, Engineering and others 4% each, General Management and Research & Development 3% each and Human Resources 2%.

The participants had worked in a number of companies including Accenture, Cognizant, Emerson, EY, Essar, GE, Genpact, Grofers, Hero, Honeywell, IBM, ICICI Bank, ILFS, Infosys, Jabong.com, Jindal Steel & Power, Johnson & Johnson, JLL, Larsen & Toubro, Marico, Reliance, Samsung, Siemens, Sony, Star, State Bank of India, Tata Consultancy Services, Tata Motors, TVS and Vedanta.

The key objectives of the program are to develop in the participants a recognition of current business realities, a holistic business perspective and an ability to recognize and seize opportunities in a competitive environment. They are also to develop a global sensitivity and mindset, communication skills, leadership and teamwork commitment towards the betterment of society.

After completion of 12 months of the course at the MDI campus, participants are given the option of an international exposure for a period of 3 weeks in European Business Schools.
