Admissions Open for Oxford MBA Class of 2018-19

The admissions process for the Oxford MBA Class of 2018-19 has started with stage 1 application deadline on September 29. The interview decision will be announced by October 27 and the final decision by December 8.

The stage 2 application deadline is January 5, 2018, interview decisions will be announced by January 26 and final decision by March 9, 2018.

Applicants who are offered and accept a place on the course will be required to pay a non-refundable deposit of £7,800 which will be offset against their course fee.

The stage 3 application deadline is March 16, interview decision will be announced by April 6 and the final decision will be by May 4.

The stage 4 application deadline will be on May 11, interview decision will be announced by May 25 and the final decision by June 15.

Eligibility Requirements

You should possess and an undergraduate degree, relevant professional experience, GMAT or GRE score, English test (if required) and two professional/academic References.

You should have a minimum 2.1 (3.5 GPA) or its equivalent. If you were not awarded a minimum of 2.1 you may still be considered provided you have a very strong employment record demonstrating a high degree of responsibility.

Regarding work experience, you should have at least two years of full-time work experience. The current class has on average six years full-time work experience.

The School does not look for experience in any specific sector. The students come from a variety of backgrounds, from engineering and finance to academia, armed forces and non-profit.

Evidence of career progression and international exposure in the candidate’s resume is taken into consideration. You should also be able to work as part of a team, as well as be able to show leadership potential.

As evidence, you will be asked to upload all your University degree academic transcripts/mark-sheets to the online application form.

These must outline the subjects studied or grades obtained from each academic year. If your original transcripts are not in English you must also supply an official translation.

If you are invited to attend an interview after submitting your application we will ask you to bring or send us original copies of your transcripts.

You should also submit two mandatory essays on the following topics: Consider a statistic or trend that shocks you. Why it is important to you and how could it be changed for the better? (Maximum 500 words). The second essay will be on ‘Is there anything not covered in the application form which you would like the Admissions Committee to know about you? ’(Maximum 250 words).

The completed online application form is to be submitted along with a £150 application fee.

Class Profile

The current class profile (2017-18) would give you an idea about the diversity and other aspects. The class has 336 students with an average age of 28. With 92% international students, the class has 60 nationalities represented.

The proportion of female students have been going up and the current class has 41%. The median GMAT score is 690. The average work experience is 5 years.

Fees & Funding

The fee for the MBA programme 2018-19 will be £55,000. It includes the Course fee, College fee and life-long Oxford Union membership.
