										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="color: #000000;"><strong>In what ought to be good news for those planning to join MBA courses in Australia, there has been only marginal increase in average fees for 2016. </strong></span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Having recorded a hike of more than 8% (from $40,671 in 2014 to $44,200 in 2015), the average MBA for full fee paying domestic students increased only marginally to $44,866 in 2016.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Melbourne Business School, which increased its fees to $81,400 from $79,000 in 2015, retaines the top position offering the country&#8217;s most expensive MBA. On the second spot is The University of New South Wales (Australian Graduate School of Management) at $77,760 and Macquarie University’s Macquarie Graduate School of Management on the third at $76,000, says MBA News.</span></p>

<p><span style="color: #000000;">New entrant Ducere (University of Canberra) has a course fee of $30,000 while Torrens University (Chiefley Business School) in its debut MBA course is charging $ 27,000 (12 courses at $2,250 per course).</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Incidentally, Torrens is the third cheapest by way of fees being charged for MBA courses. The Australian Institute of Business continues to be the cheapest at $21,780. On the second spot is Edith Cowan University at $26,550.</span></p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><span style="font-size: 14px;"><strong>The University of Western Australia (UWA) is all set to launch a new one year, full-time MBA in 2015.</strong></span></p>
<p>The MBA, offered through the University’s Business School will accept its first intake of students in January 2015 and offer specialist focus areas in leadership, natural resources and general management.</p>
<p>The new degree will enable all students to complete a three-month Business Advisory Project within leading global companies, participate in a personalised Leadership Development Program and build sustainable business networks by having individual and group interactions with business leaders from diverse sectors.</p>
<p>Dean of the UWA Business School, Winthrop Professor <strong>Phil Dolan</strong>, said the new full time MBA would target rising stars who wanted to transform their careers while building strong business networks and gaining crucial industry experience.</p>
<p>Students will have opportunities to meet senior managers and executives from companies such as ATCO Australia, BHP Billiton, Ernst &amp; Young, Resource Capital Funds, Wesfarmers and Woodside.</p>
<p>Perth business leader Dr Mark Barnaba, who chairs the UWA Business School Board, said the new MBA had strong support from the business sector.</p>
<p>“UWA’s MBA Full Time will ensure graduates are fully prepared to take on leadership roles anywhere in the world,” he said.</p>
<p>The new MBA program will be taught by world-class faculty staff including Australian Research Council Future Fellows, Winthrop Professor <strong>Cristina Gibson</strong> and Winthrop Professor <strong>Sharon Parker</strong>; as well as Woodside Chair in Leadership and Management, Winthrop Professor <strong>David Day</strong>; BHP Billiton Chair in the Business of Resources, Winthrop Professor <strong>Peter Hartley</strong> and BHP Billiton Distinguished Research Fellow, Winthrop Professor <strong>Ken Clements</strong>.</p>
