January 24 Deadline for Great Lakes PGPM 2017 Applicants

Those who missed the first cycle deadline for submitting the application form for Great Lakes’ One Year full time Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) could do it in the second cycle within the January 24 deadline.

Great Lakes, with campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon, says that the PGPM program aims at transforming high potential professionals into competent business managers and decision makers. Professionals/entrepreneurs with 2+ years of full time work experience are eligible for the program. This eligibility criterion is lower than that of other institutes for similar programs as they demand 3 to 5 years of work experience.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants are required to appear for GMAT/CAT/XAT /CMAT before applying to Great Lakes Institute of Management.

For PGPM 2017. The Institute will accept CAT scores of the year 2015/2016, XAT scores of the year 2016/2017 or GMAT scores taken after January 1, 2014 or CMAT scores of the year 2016.

The applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution. A minimum work experience of two years by March 31, 2017 is mandatory. Candidates found not fulfilling this criteria will not be admitted. Candidates with less than 24 months of work experience by March 31, 2017 can apply to the Great Lakes PGDM Program.

Admission Process

Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria are required to fill up an online admission application form by visiting the website www.greatlakes.edu.in and make a payment of Rs. 2,000. They have the option of either applying to Great Lakes, Chennai and Great Lakes, Gurgaon campuses separately or for both the campuses through the common application form by selecting the appropriate option in the registration form.

The application fee of Rs 2,000 can also be remitted at IMS centers and a coded number key procured for applying online. Purchase the application form from the Great Lakes Offices in Chennai. The eventual application process is online for all candidates.

Candidates have to provide the official email-id of the recommender. The recommendation letter will be collected from the final selected students’ recommenders and it must be submitted online

Evaluation Process

Applicants are evaluated based on GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT scores, past academic performance, essays , work experience and performance in the interview.

Being a one year fast track, PGPM is highly demanding and intense. Candidates with consistent academic background and a demonstrated ability to sustain pressure make the shortlist.

To eliminate inconsistencies between colleges and universities at the Undergraduate level, Great Lakes considers GMAT or CAT or XAT or CMAT scores in the overall assessment.

Accommodation (Single AC room) will be Rs. 214000 for Indians and $ 5000 (international). Food expenses will be Rs. 86000 (Indian) and $ 2000 (international).
