IIM Udaipur PGPX Placements 2017: Maximum Earning Potential Up at Rs 16.67 Lakh

Final Placement for the PGPX Class of 2017 at IIM Udaipur saw an upward trend in the graduating students’ highest maximum earning potential at Rs16.67 lakh per annum and average maximum earning potential at Rs14.00 lakh per annum.

In the previous batch (2015-16), the highest maximum earning potential was Rs 15.25 lakh per annum and the average maximum earning potential Rs 13.88 lakh per annum. All the 10 students in the class had opted for campus placements.

The audited Final Placement Report 2016-17 stated that 93% of PGPX students were placed through campus-generated opportunities. They were offered roles across various domains including Analytics, Consulting, Planning, Procurement & Supply Chain Management.

The PGPX at IIM Udaipur is unique among Indian one year MBAs as it is a dual degree (MBA+MS) program in Supply Chain Management held in partnership with Krannert School of Management at Purdue University in the United States.

The seven recruiters who extended offers were Accenture, Babaji Shivram, Cummins Technologies, IBM, ITC Infotech, Snapdeal and Worxogo Solutions.

Out of the total number of 18 graduates, 13 opted for campus placements, 3 sought opportunities elsewhere, 1 was company sponsored or already employed and 1 did not seek placements for other reasons.

While 5 graduates accepted offers from Information Technology sector, 3 chose E-Commerce, 2 each went into Consulting and 1 chose Manufacturing.

All the 13 graduates were placed in India with 5 in the National Capital Region (NCR), 4 in Bangalore, 3 in Mumbai and 1 in Dewas.

In function-wise classification, 4 offers each were accepted in Consulting and Planning, 3 in Supply Chain Management and 1 each in Analytics and Procurement.

As far salary is concerned, the basic salary was Rs 950,000 minimum, Rs 1,478,400 maximum, Rs 1,178,400 median and Rs1,243195 mean. The Maximum earning potential (including non-cash, long term and performance linked components) were minimum Rs 1,130,500, Maximum Rs 1,667,250, median Rs 1,400,014 and mean Rs 1,399,828.
