IIMC PGPEX Class of 2016 Net Average Salary of Rs 25.33 Lakh At Final Placements

A total 53 students of the 9th batch of PGPEX at IIM Calcutta received 61 offers with the highest salary at Rs 54 Lakh and average salary at Rs 25.33 Lakh at the Final Placements. one student opted out of the placements.

PGPEX Sector-wise Offers

In sector-wise offers, IT services topped the list with 17, followed by IT Consulting at 13 with pharmaceuticals/healthcare services at 6.

Sector-wise Distribution of Offers

The roles offered ranged from mid-to senior level with designations such as AGM – Marketing, Regional Manager, AVP- Business IT, Territory Business Development, Vice President – Operations, Director – OE, AGM – HR, Academic Director, AGM – Operations, Manager-Strategy.

Some of the major recruiters were Amazon, Accenture, Microsoft, Ford Motors, Call Health, Geometric, Syntel, Bandhan Bank, Infosys, L & T InfoTech and ACT.

The new organizations (First time recruiters) which visited include Geometric, ACT, Alexion, Bandhan Bank, Call Health, Decimal, Mytrah Energy Ltd., Ramco Cements, Aakash Institute, Tega Industries, Uber, A T Kearney, McKinsey, Bain, Lenskart, Saken, and Lexplosion.

PGPEX Class Profile

The Class of 2016 with 6 female students have an average work experience of 104 months and average international work experience of 19 months.  Students with international experience comprised 66 % of the class.

Key Statistics

The class has an average GMAT score of 684 with median 690 and maximum 750. Engineers constituted 83% of the class and students with post graduate degree 17%.

As far as Work Diversity is concerned, 52% of the class were from IT/ITES followed by automobile/manufacturing at 15% and energy at 11%.
