Hi everyone,
Truly enlightened by the flow of information on this forum thread. I am presently serving in Indian Air Force as a technician enrolled in 2006 with 15 yrs of military experience. Like many fellow apirants here, I am also very keen to pursue one year full time MBA from elite institution (ISB, IIMs)and my credential are:

Class 10: 78
10+2 : 79.8
AMIE (B.E): 7.9 (CGPA)
Branch : Elec telecomm.

In my work experience, I have been deployed in many places under challenging work capacities where my main role was to keep my assets war-ready and was always a part of inspiring team of soldiers. My responsibilities were not just limited to technical aspects of my service but were multi faceted in the sense that I had to be battle-ready to any sort of contingency ,situations may bring up to me for which I have been graciously trained. At this point, I only know that MBA is most coveted feat which forges problem solving trait in a dynamic and multu-pronged challenging environment and this brought me here.

I would be obliged if i am guided on how should I proceed from here and how my combatant traits would serve any good purpose in a world i am looking forward with hope. Thankyou.

Hi Admin,

Need your suggestion on my profile :

Work Experience of 11 years (Working in automobile industry as automobile Trainer). I am Looking for 1 year full time MBA(from IIM - A , B, C or ISB) .

My Score :
10th : 62 % (U.P Board )
12th : 60 % (U.P Board )
B.Sc : 68 % ( CCS Univ)
M.B.A (2 year Regular Full Time Major : Marketing , Minor : Finance) : 72% ( UPTU - UP Technical University)

Work Experience
2 years (Car dealership as AGM)
9 years (Automobile Product Trainer for Car dealership manpower)

My queries are as below :
1) With my current profile, do I hold a chance in getting to any of these 4 top institutes ?
2) If yes, what GMAT score should I be targeting ?
3) What should be my order of preference for the above institutes ?
4) Would my diverse job experience be considered? If yes, would it have an edge over other regular profiles or would it make a negative point ?
5) What options (placement , job) would I have and would be best for me after completing the course ? I am willing to change my domain as with my current profile I travel extensively (almost 25-28 days/month) across the country which is a concern for me as I am unable to spend time with my family (2 Kids - 7yr & 1yr). Also odd hour travel, irregular and hectic schedule is taking a toil on my health.

Thanks,
Kumar

There are no cutoffs for school marks. A good GMAT score can overcome the concern and prove your academic potential to the AdCom.
