Indian School of Business (ISB) – Eligibility & Other Requirements I One Year MBA/ PGP 2020-2021

Eligibility – Regular candidates  

To be considered a PGP applicant for the Class of 2021, you will need to have:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in any discipline
• Valid GMAT / GRE score
• At least 24 months of full-time work experience by March 31, 2020
• TOEFL / IELTS / PTE score (only if the language of instruction at undergraduate study level is not English)

Eligibility – Early Entry Option at ISB (PGP deferred)

To apply under the Early Entry Option for a deferred admission, you will need to have:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in any discipline
• Valid GMAT / GRE score
• Less than 24 months of full-time work experience by March 31, 2020
• TOEFL / IELTS score (only if the language of instruction at undergraduate study level is not English)

Eligibility – Re-applicants to ISB

We are sure that you have a lot of questions about the procedure and process of re-application. We have attempted to address a few of your questions below

Before you begin your reapplication, identify the areas which require special focus and work towards improving them.

• Each application is reviewed on the basis of its merits, just like first-time applications. The fact that this your second attempt does not affect our perspective. 
• After a gap of one year, you may have more information to share with us. Please include everything in the application because it will help us evaluate better.
• All the mandatory information required for the reapplication has to be current and up-to- date, especially with regard to your academic transcripts, essays, reference letters, work history, etc.  
• The admission decision will be made based on the current application. 
• You may opt for a recommendation from a different referee as it might bring out different qualities or traits of your personality.  
• In case your GMAT/GRE/TOEFL score is no longer valid, please retake the test and send us the latest results. If the scores are valid, you do not need to resubmit them. 
• The decision made by the admissions committee is final and binding.

Parameters on Which ISB Applicants Are Evaluated

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS & SCORE REQUIREMENTS FOR ISB

The application keenly evaluates your ability to cope with the rigour of the programme through your past academic performance and your performance in the GMAT/GRE exam. 

ISB considers the 12th standard grades, graduation grades, post-graduation and certification scores, wherever applicable, along with the overall GMAT/GRE score. However, no ‘cut off’ criteria are applied to either the academic credentials or the GMAT/GRE score.

LEADERSHIP POTENTIAL

Applicants are evaluated on the basis of the impact they have made in their past professional and personal life. This aspect is assessed through the initiatives that the applicant may have taken, the responsibilities handled and the career progression achieved till date.

The one professional evaluation (i.e. recommendation) which forms an important part of the application also helps in gauging the leadership potential of the applicant in a professional setting.
