For PGPM 2021, Great Lakes Institute of Management will accept scores of GMAT taken after 1st January 2017, CAT taken in 2018/2019, XAT taken in 2019/2020 or CMAT taken in 2019

A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution

A minimum work experience of two years by March 31, 2020

Candidates with less than 24 months of work experience by March 31, 2020 can apply to the Great Lakes PGDM Program

Admission Process

According to the B-School, the admission process is based on multiple facets of an applicant, including but not limited to the test scores. We, at Great Lakes, value real-world experience and the ability to take charge, very highly, as we aim to build a community of empathetic business leaders and trendsetters.


  • Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria can apply to Great Lakes Institute of Management by completing an online form
  • Candidates can choose to apply by any of the following methods:
  • Visit the website and fill in the online application form after making a payment of INR 2,000. Candidates have the option of either applying to Great Lakes, Chennai and Great Lakes, Gurgaon campuses separately or for both the campuses through the common application form by selecting the appropriate option in the registration form
  • Make a payment of INR 2,000 at IMS centers and procure a coded number key for applying online
  • Purchase the application form from the Great Lakes Offices in Chennai
  • The eventual application process is online for all candidates
  • Candidates have to provide the official email-id of the recommender. The recommendation letter will be collected from the final selected students’ recommenders and it must be submitted online

As per the B-School, the campus placement process for the PGPM Class of 2019, witnessed an excellent season with over 97% of the students already placed as on 9 Jan 2018. The placement season saw participation from major recruiters like Accenture, Aditya Birla Capital, ADP, Amazon, Barclays, Cognizant, Capgemini, Deloitte, EY, Gartner, HCL, Honeywell, HSBC, Infosys, ITC Infotech, L&T Infotech, Mentis, MuSigma, TCS, Virtusa, ZS Associates to name a few. The average CTC of the batch stood at 13.1 Lakhs p.a. and the highest domestic CTC offered was 29 Lakhs p.a. offered by a multinational consulting firm. The process is set to wrap up on a high with the remaining students awaiting to interview with top companies over the next few weeks.

Students were offered various coveted roles in Analytics, BFSI, IT/ITES, Consulting, E-commerce, Technology Consulting, FMCG and Product. IT/ITES (37%) was the largest recruiting sector followed by Tech Consulting (23%), Business Consulting (22%) and BFSI (5%). In terms of the functional areas, Technology Consulting (33%) attracted the largest set of offers followed by Analytics (15%) and Sales & Marketing (14%).
