SAT Mathematics Level 1 and Level 2 – What is the difference?

In case you are not sure about which option to choose, pick a level that you are comfortable with and can help you score well. If you are confident in topics like trigonometry or elementary functions (pre-calculus) you can choose SAT 2 Math if not pick SAT 1 Math. You should also remember to check with the requirements of the university and the course you have selected before you select an option.

Essay (Optional)

Though the SAT Essay section is optional most colleges want the applicants to submit the SAT essay scores as well. So, unless you have a really valid reason, it is better not to skip the SAT essay section.

The SAT essay is for a total of 50 minutes and it evaluates the candidates’ reading, writing and analytical skills. You are required to go through a 650-750-word passage and give an analysis of the argument established by the author. Remember to analyze the author’s point of view and not your own ideas.
