The scope for online MBA graduates stands to gain through promotions and increments after they have the MBA education under their belt. Close to 63% of online MBA degrees have experienced some form of an increase in their salaries and promotion job-wise.

Graduates from the Imperial College Business School in London are the highest achievers in this category. They reportedly received an increment change of $58,360, which is 57% higher than the $102,466 they reported when entering the online MBA program.

10 Dos And Don’ts For Salary Negotiations

After completing an online MBA in the first year, they earn an average of $160,826. Likewise, students from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University were reported to have increased in change, of $57,728 to $149,773, an increase of 63%.

Besides new job roles and increments, completing an online MBA degree comes with added responsibility in the work area. Moreover, graduates experience an improvement in personal confidence and become members of an alumni network.

ONLINE MBA PROGRAMS WITH THE HIGHEST POST-GRADUATE SALARIES

From the above table, we can see that graduates who have completed their online MBA program from Imperial College and Carnegie Mellon received exceptional increments. Likewise, the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business was the third-highest increase in the average salary.

Their graduates reported getting a change of $42,234 more in the first year of completing the degree at $155,167. The Leavey School of Business in Santa Clara University too reported a similar change in the salary of $38,055 at an increment of 42%.

Besides, it was Santa Clara University’s first batch that saw the numbers. Part of the top-five was also graduates from the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler who reported a change in the increase of $35,684.

As you can see, the average change among all 43 ranked schools by Poets & Quants was $21,551. The Imperial College and Carnegie Mellon saw the highest change in salaries of nearly $60,000.

A notable increase in the salary was reported from graduates of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst Isenberg School with $210,143. Besides, the graduates could see a change of $33,429 compared to pre-MBA salaries of $176,714.

ONLINE MBA PROGRAMS WITH THE LOWEST SALARY INCREASES

Not all graduates were able to get princely increments in their salaries. Nevertheless, they managed to see small but significant changes in their annual salaries. The University of Michigan-Dearborn’s online MBA program graduates saw a loss at $1,000.

The reason being the graduates were not working before joining the program. Likewise, the Louisiana State University was able to report a change of salary increment at $500. While two business schools were able to see massive increments in the graduate’s salaries, two other business schools report low increases in the salary.

Ranked at number 7, the Villanova University graduates were able to report a salary increase of just $1,731. At number 4, the George Washington University saw an increase of $4,619. However, they were able to post a high salary of $140,879 post-MBA.

The Lerner School of Business, University of Delaware saw a decent increase in salary of $9,650. The lowest salary post-MBA was posted by graduates from the Florida International University at $77,168.

The second-lowest was reported from graduates at the University of South Florida with a salary of $80,125. Finally, graduates at the University of Michigan-Dearborn saw the third-lowest post-MBA wage of $83,125.

ONLINE MBA PROGRAMS WITH THE HIGHEST AND LOWEST CAREER IMPACTS

P&Q researched the increment in salary, job promotions, and change in the company post-MBA online program. Carnegie Mellon post-MBA graduates saw the highest impact on their careers.

Tepper post-MBA graduates reported a massive impact in their careers, with 65.4% getting a job promotion, 76.9% getting a salary raise, and 50% changing organizations. The overall average stood at 64.1%.

Similarly, the Mason School at The College of William & Mary saw 62.37% of graduates getting a job promotion, salary increment, or changing firms. Likewise, graduates from the University of Maryland had an average of 60.78%.

Following them were the Santa Clara University at 59.26% and the University of Washington (Foster), standing at 57.29%.
