SNAP 2020 Examination Pattern
SNAP Test generally follows the pattern of other standardized aptitude tests like GMAT for admission to management programs. The exam tests your proficiency in English, quantitative and analytical skills among others. Symbiosis International (Deemed) University that organises the exam for admission to its Masters’ and MBA programs, announced a change the test pattern in 2019 dropping the General Awareness section. As a result, the total number of questions came down to 110 from the earlier 130.

The question paper pattern in SNAP 2020 is expected to be same as last year. There will be 110 question spread across three sections – General English (GE), Quantitative, Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency (QA- DI, DS) and Analytical & Logical Reasoning (A-LR).
SNAP 2020 exam is likely to be held in the second week of December. It would be only after the release of SNAP 2020 notification in August that we would know about any changes in the exam pattern.

Section Wise SNAP Exam Pattern 2020
SNAP exam pattern: Question Types
The SNAP exam pattern has two types of questions –Normal Questions and Special Questions.
- Normal Questions are Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) that will provide four options. You have to tick the correct answer.
- Special Questions are Type in the Answer (TITA) questions without any options. You will have to type the answer with the help of a virtual keyboard.

SNAP Overall and Sectional Time Duration
- The allotted time to complete SNAP question paper is 2 hours (120 minutes).
- There is no sectional limit in SNAP exam. You are allowed to choose the sequence of tackling the questions as per your convenience.

SNAP 2020 Marking Scheme
SNAP question paper carries a total mark of 150. The marking scheme includes a negative marking of 25% for each wrong answer. The table below gives details of the SNAP marking scheme.

A: Yes, SNAP is a computer-based online test. You will be using a computer with the mouse for answering the questions.
A: The new SNAP exam pattern comprises three sections – General English, Analytical & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative-Data Interpretation & Data Sufficiency. The General Awareness section has been scrapped.
A: SNAP question paper has more than 100 questions in MCQ and non-MCQ format to be solved in 2 hours. There is no sectional time-limit.
