Admission is open for the ESSEC Global MBA with the next application deadline, Round 2 on February 2.

Round 3 application deadline is March 29 and Round 4 on June 14. The one-year full-time MBA program, held in Paris and Singapore, offers a choice of three majors, Strategy & Management, Luxury Brand Management and Strategy & Digital Leadership.

Global MBA Highlights

The three majors provide the participants with a macro-view of core business functions coupled with industry-specific skills and knowledge. It will help them make a successful career switch to industries such as consulting, tech, or luxury, says Aarti Ramaswami, Academic Director, ESSEC Global MBA.

The program, ranked at number 5 worldwide for International Experience in the FT Global MBA Ranking 2019, offers a holistic MBA experience. It encompasses hard and soft skills through training on in-demand industry certifications, personal branding and development workshops. The program also offers career development support, she added.

The Global MBA also lays stress on sustainability through conferences and related courses, sensitizing participants to the importance of social responsibility in the face of business.

The program aims to impart the skills and knowledge required to deal with complex situations arising from the digital revolution, networking, out-of-the-box thinking to create value, decision-making in the face of uncertainty and risk, working in multi-cultural environments in global business contexts and think independently and collaboratively in teams.

The ESSEC Global MBA Alliance of Strategic Leaders has industry experts representing all the three majors, to provide advice on the corporate needs and trends, academic content, strategic partnerships and access to corporate resources.

The Alliance leaders also serve as the program’s ambassadors to help establish strong relationships between the industry and Global MBA participants. They include Arnaud Vaissié, CEO at International SOS, Bénédicte Richard, Director Human Resources and Organizational Development Fragrance and Beauty at Chanel, Cyril Ranque, President Lodging Partner Services at Expedia Inc. and Eric Labaye, Senior Partner (Director) at McKinsey & Company.

Eligibility Criteria

You should be at least 26 years old at the time of application with a minimum of three years of post-university professional experience (excluding internships). You should have at least two years of experience in a management role. Work experience abroad or in an international environment is also necessary.

You should possess a Bachelor’s Degree, a competitive GMAT or GRE score and an advanced level of English. The GMAT/GRE scores should be within the validity period of 5 years. For non-native speakers of English, the scores of an English proficiency test: TOEIC (minimum score of 800) or IELTS (minimum score of 7) or TOEFL (minimum score 100|TOEFL MyBest scores are accepted) with a validity of 2 years.

The English test is not required if you are a native English speaker, have spent the last 3 years in an English-speaking university or have lived for a minimum of 3 years in an English speaking country.

How to Apply for the Program

The application form is to be completed online. First, you will need to create your account, following which you will receive an email with your login ID and password (PIN). These are required each time you sign in.

You can fill in the application form at your convenience, pause and come back to it at any point.

One common essay for all 3 majors, and additional questions, corresponding to your major should be submitted. A professional résumé (1-2 pages maximum and a copy of your passport or ID card. Official transcripts of grades from all prior academic establishments (excluding high school) are also needed along with an ID photo, passport-style (medium to a high-resolution digital image).

Scholarship Essay (if applicable), Proof of Fair Registration and Attendance if you have chosen to apply for the Fast Fair Reduction Scholarship. Two professional referees, who will receive a request to complete the online reference form when you submit your online application

All documents must be provided in English or French. Official translations will also have to be provided for documents in other languages.

Once you have completed your online application and have attached all the supporting documents, the final step is to submit your online application before the admission deadline. A non-refundable application fee of 130€/180SGD is to be paid.

If the application is successful, you will be contacted by ESSEC within two weeks. Shortlisted applicants will be contacted to organize an interview which will last for about 40 minutes.

Interviews will be conducted either in person or over video conference, depending on the location of the candidate. In-person interviews will take place at ESSEC’s campuses in France and Singapore, as well as at international admissions interviews in Mumbai, New York City and Shanghai.

Fees & Other Expenses

The application fee for the Global MBA for the 2020-2021 academic year is 130€ for all majors. Tuition for the ESSEC Global MBA is dependent on your major of choice. For Strategy & Management major, it will be €50,000, Luxury Brand Management major €50,000 and Strategy & Digital Leadership major SGD 81,900 (Inclusive of GST). The tuition fee covers all academic courses, seminars, and business trips.
