IIM Ahmedabad was founded in year 1961, and is a renowned management institute that offers various programs in management. NIRF (In 2019) & Outlook (in 2020) ranked the institute 2^nd for MBA program, It is among the few institutes in India to be accredited by EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System). Admission at IIM Ahmedabad is offered on the basis of CAT, GMAT, or GRE score. Last Year, 99.6 was the CAT Cutoff. And In placement drive 2020, 153 companies visited the campus, out of which Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey, and Tata Consultancy Services were the top recruiters.

In 2020 report NIRF ranked IIM Ahmedabad as the No. 1 institute in India for Management Education and by Outlook ranked 2^nd for IIMs category. At the international level, it is ranked 61 by Financial Times in its Global MBA Rankings ranked IIM Ahmedabad at 61^st place and 58^th place in Executive Education Rankings (Open).

Admission Process – IIM Ahmedabad

The admission process at IIM Ahmedabad is very rigorous. For the initial screening, applicants need to qualify the CAT examination with percentile (score) with the IIMA’s eligibility requirement. A valid CAT exam score is pre-requisite for the application process to the various programs of the IIM’s.

Placement Trends – IIM Ahmedabad

Top companies of the corporate world visit IIM Ahmedabad with lucrative opportunities for the students. Some of the companies are Mckinsey & Co., Roland Berger, Barclays, Oliver Wyman, Citibank and JP Morgan. In the academic year 2018-2019, 388 candidates out of 398 candidates received job offers. The remaining 10 students were those who did not seek for the placements support. Candidates were offered the role in the fields of Analytics, General Management, Business Development, Consulting, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Operations, Research & Advisory. The candidates were also placed internationally, in locations such as Germany, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and UAE.

To help students with their financials, IIM Ahmedabad offers a number of scholarships. For its two-year postgraduate programmes (MBA/ MBAFABM), the institute has special Need-based Scholarships. Different scholarship options are provided by alumni of the university, namely the PGP Alumni Endowment Funds, class of PGP 2001, Peri Viswanath Scholarship Shri GC Mital Entrepreneurship Aid,  and Smt.
