The IIMs offer more than 72 management courses at Post Graduate, Executive and Doctoral levels apart from various part-time and certificate courses. Here is a quick review of the courses offered.

The Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) is the primary programme offered across all 20 institutes of IIM. This programme was renamed as the MBA degree programmes after the IIM Bill was introduced in 2018 by the Parliament. A host of over 72 programmes including Executive MBA, One-Year Diploma, PhD and Certificate programmes are also offered by IIM apart from the MBA course. Post Graduate Program in Management (PGP)

 

The PGP programme is the primary program of IIMs, and is offered by all the 20 institutes and is equivalent an MBA degree. Students are awarded Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) degree upon successful completion of course.

The course is for two years split into six trimesters.

A fully-integrated management programme comprising of core courses in various management disciplines. In the second year, students can choose a preferred course from the list of electives.

PGP in Enterprise Management (PGPEM)

 

Offered by IIM Bangalore this is a 22-month weekend residential programme.

Mid-level and senior executives having at least four years of work experience after Graduation are eligible to apply.

PGP- FABM (Food and Agribusiness Management)

 

Previously known as PGP- ABM, this is a full-time two-year course.

In the first year, students of PGP (Flagship) and FABM share a common syllabus –FABM students have few extra subjects. In the second year of FABM, a lot more focus is on agro-based subjects.

PGP in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM)

 

The PGPHRM is a full-time flagship programme of IIM Ranchi.

The programme is divided into 6 semesters with a summer project.

PGP in Business Management (PGPBM)

 

Offered by IIM Tiruchirappalli, this 24-month programme ismainly forpreparing working executives for senior leadership roles.

The main goal of this programme is to help professionals work in any type of sector.

PGP in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM)

 

This programme provides comprehensive studies aimed at improving the policy maker’s efficiency and leadership skills.

This programme focuses on leadership skills and helps management professionals tackle new challenges.

The duration of PGPPM is one year, including a 2 week international immersion module.

PGP in Agri Business Management (PGP-ABM)This program is designed exclusively for entrepreneurs to develop in the field of agribusiness.

This is a two year full -time residential programme offered by IIM Lucknow.

PGP in Sustainable Management (PGP-SM)

 

The PGP-SM is a two-year full-time programme offered by IIM Lucknow, spread across six semesters including an international immersion programme.

IIM Courses: Eligibility Criteria and Exam Score Required

Eligibility criteria for IIM Courses:

  • Must be a Graduate with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent from a recognized university.
  • For SC/ST/PwD candidates, a minimum of 45% aggregate is needed in Graduation
  • For courses apart from the flagship PGP, prior work experience is a must and the duration required depends on the course.

Exam scores required:

For admission to IIMs’ PGP and EPGP programmes, the candidates have to first write the common management aptitude tests. Given below are the entrance tests required to pursue IIM courses.
