MBA Program with a Business Practicum and Global Experience at Bryant

The Bryant University Graduate School of Business at Smithfield, Rhode Island, offers an AACSB accredited MBA Program that can be completed in one-year, full-time. It is designed for students who have recently completed an undergraduate degree or those with some years of professional experience.

The program incorporates experiential learning through the Business Practicum, where students work directly with companies on a semester-long consulting project. In addition, an emphasis is placed on long-term career planning.

Bryant says the program has an international focus to enable those seeking to develop their skills or change careers achieve their roles. Students could choose to specialize or earn a general management degree.

The program begins in the fall semester in September. You can submit the application form by the April 15 deadline.

In order to help the MBA graduates acquire the knowledge and skills to meet the challenges of today’s global business marketplace, the curriculum encourages students to build an interdisciplinary foundation and then develop a strategic specialization in an area that is in high demand.

The specialisations on offer are in Global Finance, Global Supply Chain Management, International Business or Business Analytics. Students have the option of choosing any one of these areas.

The business theory is balanced with practical, hands-on activities that bring the topics to life and prepare you to apply what you have learned in your chosen profession, the School says.

The MBA Business Practicum is a team-based experience where you solve real business problems in a corporate environment. Industry executives serve as mentors throughout the course and beyond.

The skills you build and the relationships you develop during the practicum will set you apart in the competitive marketplace.

The Global Immersion Experience (GIE) enables you to gain the necessary skills to achieve success in the global marketplace. In January, you will travel abroad with your colleagues to meet with senior executives at international firms and/or governmental agencies.

As far as placement is concerned, firms that recruited MBA graduates over the past two years include Bank of America, Alex and Ani, USA, Design Aire, Inc., JDX Consulting, Inc., CVS Caremark, Prima CARE Inc., AIG, Gtech Inc. (now IGT), Adidas Group, Nomura Securities, KPMG, Global View Communications, EMC Corporation, Addison Group, Cooley Group, Citizens Bank.

Tuition Fees & Scholarships

The tuition fee is $3,354 per course. In addition to tuition, a Global Immersion Experience fee of $1,500 is to be paid. Students seeking scholarship must apply before April 30.

Among the mandatory requirements for admission is that all candidates should have successfully completed coursework in macroeconomics, microeconomics and statistics at the undergraduate or graduate level. If you have not yet taken them, Bryant offers self-paced online courses in these subjects.

How to Apply

In addition to the application form, you will need to submit a statement of objectives, current resume, one faculty recommendation, official transcripts from all colleges/universities you have attended, your official score on the GMAT, and the application fee.

A waiver of GMAT score is applicable in cases where the applicant has a 3.4 GPA or higher from an AACSB accredited business degree program or from a non-business degree program with professional accreditation (e.g., ABET) completed within the past ten years.

The waiver is also applicable in cases where the applicant has five or more years of high-level work experience and a minimum 2.75 GPA from an accredited four-year bachelor degree program. Applicants should provide details of their experience on their resume.

Applicants who have completed a master, law or medical degree at an accredited university are also exempt. • Applicants are also eligible for a GMAT Waiver Interview with three to five years of substantive work experience. Details of their experience should be provided on their resume.

Applicants who have achieved a score in GRE that is comparable and equivalent to the school’s average GMAT score are also exempt.

International students will need to submit TOEFL score if their native language is not English or if they have not completed a degree from a program taught in English. In addition, transcripts from colleges/universities outside the U.S. must be translated into English and converted to a 4.0 scale.
