Admission Open for 1-Year Full Time MBA Program at University Of Bath

Admission is open for the 1-Year Full-Time MBA Program at the University of Bath’s School of Management with the Application deadlines on June 30, 2019, for international students requiring visas and August 31, 2019, for UK/EU students.

The program is marked by small class size that makes for a more intimate learning environment including increased contact time with the faculty and other students.

Eligibility Criteria

You need to have a minimum of three years’ experience at management level with 2:1 or above undergraduate degree. International applicants may need to pass an English language test.

Fees & Scholarships

The fees have been pegged at £37,500 for the program starting on September 23, 2019. A number of scholarships are available. The Bath MBA European scholarships, five of £10,000 each, are open to all candidates from EU/EEA countries. The Bath MBA international scholarship of £3,000-£5,000 is open to all candidates paying overseas fees and Dean’s MBA scholarship for the excellence of £15,000 is for candidates with exceptional academic performance. A GMAT score may be required as evidence.

In addition, for full-time MBA students, Taught postgraduate master’s bursaries, 30 of £6,000 each, are open to all UK candidates who have received an offer.

The Chevening Scholarship of £37,500 (including top up from the University) for 2019 entry is open to applicants from Chevening-eligible countries. On confirmation of the award of a Chevening Scholarship, a top-up award is offered to cover the remaining fee balance.

The majority 70% students came from Asia (East Asia 31%, South East Asia 27%, South Asia 12%) followed by the UK 14%, Europe and Latin America 6% each and North America 4%.

The Moog Scholarship of £8,000 is open to applicants who have successfully enrolled on the Full-time MBA. All candidates will be invited to submit a separate application in autumn 2018. If successful, Moog Inc. may also invite you to work with them during your final project.

Class Profile

The Class of 2017 had just 51 students belonging to 16 nationalities adding to the much sought after diversity in MBA programs.

In terms of gender ratio, 53% of the class comprised female students and 47% male. The students had an average of 7 years’ work experience in 23 different sectors. The average age was 30 in the range of 24-56.

Program Highlights

Along with the core set of compulsory modules, you will be able to choose from a wide range of options. Visiting speakers and business trips will provide students with valuable insights into different aspects of the functioning of companies.

With the focus on project work, instead of one final project-based dissertation, you could take up as many as five different projects over the year. The optional internship and the international study tour will give you valuable experience of different organisations. In June 2018, during a week-long study tour, students visited San Francisco and Silicon Valley, California.

An optional paid internship of up to six months at the end of the program will enable you to add more work experience to your CV.

With one-third of the programme dedicated to options, you can tailor your MBA to your personal interests. Study the subjects you need with our wide range of options. Developing the soft skills that employers want, the program lays stress on leadership and management skills.

You will be able to gain access to a global graduate network and seek advice from more than 17,000 people in 130 countries.

Career Outcomes

According to the Financial Times Global MBA ranking 2018, Bath MBA graduates reported a 66% salary increase at $93,000.

While 26% of the graduates chose Finance sector, 22% went into Technology followed by 17% each in Consulting and Healthcare. Education and Energy sectors had 9% each.

Location-wise, 39% of the graduates chose Asia, followed by 36% UK, 8% each in North & Latin America, 6% Africa/Middle East and 3% in Europe.

With 94% of the students getting jobs within three months of graduating, the major recruiters were Barclays Bank, Citigroup, EDF Energy, Deloitte, HSBC, Intel, K Bank, L’Oréal, Mercer, Mitsubishi, PwC, Rio Tinto, Samsung and the United Nations.(Image Source:wikipedia.org)
