The 1-year Executive Post-Graduate Program in Management (EPGP) at IIM Indore is aimed at experienced professionals who want to enhance knowledge, skills and capabilities essential for managing and leading organizations.

The Institute says the full time residential program combines skill building with exploration of good management practices. It offers elective course aligned with the industry concentration identified for the program such as Analytics, BFSL, e-Commerce, Operations & Strategy etc.

During the intensive one-year program, the participants are expected to work towards developing a deeper understanding of various facets of management and hone their managerial skills. It is spread over five academic terms in IIM Indore campus and one international immersion term abroad at McCombs School of Business-The University of Texas at Austin during the academic year 2017-18.

In learning goals, EPGP participants are expected to demonstrate data analytical skills along with an understanding of management science in decision making process. They have to develop interpersonal awareness and ability to work in teams. The students have to become effective communicators with an awareness of legal financial environment of business.

The average work experience of the batch is 8.5 years. While 41% of the class have 5-8 years experience, 37% come with 8-10 years and 22% with more than 10 years. In industry experience, IT sector claims the lion’s share at 34%. Energy & Petroleum comes second at 15% with Automobile in the third spot at 10%.

They should develop an understanding of the ethical dimensions of management decision making, integrated and strategic thinking and awareness of global issues affecting business.

Class Profile

The current batch of the 1-year Executive Post-Graduate Program in Management (EPGP) of IIM Indore comprises 41 students, including 4 females. The average age of the class is 31.

The average work experience of the batch is 8.5 years. While 41% of the class have 5-8 years experience, 37% come with 8-10 years and 22% with more than 10 years. In industry experience, IT sector claims the lion’s share at 34%. Energy & Petroleum comes second at 15% with Automobile in the third spot at 10%.

Manufacturing, Consulting and Infrastructure account for 7% each followed by BFSL at 5%. Education and FMCG/Retail are 2% each.

While 22 students have international experience, 10 students come from IITs and NITs. In functional experience, Consulting and Project Management (Engineering) and Project Management (IT) notch up 15% each. Software Development and Services come next at 12% followed by Sales & Marketing at 10%. Operations Management and Product Development notch up 7% each.

Entrepreneurship is at 5%. Business Analytics, Business Management, Project Management, Quality Control, R&D and Risk Management is at 2% each.

Program Structure

The pedagogy is a judicious mix of lectures, case discussions, project work, term papers, role-play, seminar presentations, assignments, management games and simulations.

Eligibility

The candidate must have a Bachelor’s Degree or its equivalent in any discipline, a valid CAT/GMAT score (obtained between January 1, 2012 and December 31, 2016.

Selection and Registration for the Program

After the interviews are conducted, shortlisted candidates will be sent admission offers. The acceptance letter along with a payment of commitment fee of Rs 1,00,000 plus service tax should be sent to the institute within the stipulated time period mentioned in the offer letter.

Program Fee

The fee for Indian nationals is Rs 18,00,000 plus service tax and for foreign nationals US$45,000 plus service tax. It could also be paid in three instalments with an irrevocable bank guarantee of Rs 10,00,000.

The fee includes tuition, course material, access to library facilities, network/computer charges, lodging and boarding. All expenses towards international travel, visa, passport, lodging and boarding (international) etc. would have to be borne by the candidate.
