Admission Open for PGPM 2018 at Great Lakes

Admission is open at the Great Lakes Institute of Management for the One Year full-time Post-Graduate Program in Management (PGPM) with the last date of submission of the online application in the first cycle on November 30, 2017, and the second cycle on January 24, 2018.

The School, with campuses in Chennai and Gurgaon, says the program places great emphasis on developing competencies, team-work and leadership, inclusivity principles and value-based management creating “Business Ready Managers” capable of responding to complex business challenges.

Professionals or entrepreneurs with 2 plus years of full-time work experience are eligible for the program. The globally benchmarked curriculum is updated yearly, the School says. Eligibility Criteria

All applicants should have appeared for GMAT/CAT/XAT +/CMAT test. For PGPM 2018, you should present either CAT scores of the year 2016/2017, XAT scores of the year 2017/2018, GMAT scores taken after January 1, 2015 or CMAT scores of the year 2017.

All applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized institution

A minimum work experience of two years by March 31, 2018, is mandatory and those not fulfilling this criterion will not be admitted. Candidates with less than 24 months of work experience by March 31, 2018, can apply to the Great Lakes PGDM Program.

Admission Process

Those who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply by completing an online form. they can choose to apply by any of the following methods:

Visit the website www.greatlakes.edu.in and fill in the online application form after making a payment of INR 2,000. They have the option of either applying to Great Lakes, Chennai and Great Lakes, Gurgaon campuses separately or for both the campuses through the common application form by selecting the appropriate option in the registration form.

Make a payment of Rs 2,000 at IMS centres and procure a coded number key for applying online. Another option is to purchase the application form from the Great Lakes Offices in Chennai. However, the eventual application process is online for all candidates.

Candidates have to provide the official email-id of the recommender. The recommendation letter will be collected from the final selected students’ recommenders and it must be submitted online

The applicants will be evaluated on the basis of GMAT/CAT/XAT/CMAT scores, past academic performance, essays, work experience and performance in the interview.

The selection criteria are based on an assessment of academic abilities and only those who display consistent academic record and a demonstrated ability to sustain pressure are shortlisted.

The School also adopts standardized test scores to eliminate inconsistencies between colleges and universities at the Undergraduate level. In effect it means, the scores in GMAT or CAT or XAT or CMAT are taken into consideration in the overall assessment.
