IIMB Placements
This year, the IIM Bangalore 2020 placements yielded 100% results. All the 428 students who appeared for the interviews got a total of 518 offers over the three-day placement drive.
In 2019, the final and lateral placements wrapped up within 2 days and 411 students got 488 offers from several reputed companies, thereby yielding a 100% placement success. IIM Bangalore has a specific Training & Placement Cell that conducts different types of internships programmes, seminars, and workshops with the specific aim of providing placement assistance to the students.
In the process of placements, the main specializations were marketing, consulting, banks & finance sector, product management, general management, human resource management and supply chain management,. Some of the top companies that visited IIM Bangalore are EXL, Boston Consulting Group, Deloitte, and Amazon.

- Although not consulting industry dominated the placement drive, the finance industry was not far back as it continued to hire in large numbers like it has done in the past.
- Some of the other top recruiters were Adani Group, Anheuser-Busch InBev, EXL Services, Microsoft, Oliver Wyman, AT Kearney, The Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Co., Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, McKinsey & Company.

IIM Bangalore Summer Placements 2019
The summer placement at IIM Bangalore for the session 2019-2021 with the consulting sector being the highest recruiter. A total of 437students got internship offers. The other top recruiters were from the BFSI and E-Commerce sector.
The internship offered to students were mainly in the area of Consulting, E-Commerce, Finance, General Management, IT/Product Management, Operations, Business Analytics, Retail and Sales and Marketing. Nearly 35% of the total number of offers for consulting roles were offered by the MBB firms. But, the internship opportunities offered to students from the E-commerce industry saw a decline by 50%.
