The Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies is located in Churchgate, Mumbai, right at the heart of India’s number one financial and commercial hub. The institute, set up in 1965,is named after industrialist-philanthropist Jamnalal Bajaj. Affiliated to the University of Mumbai, it offers several full-time and part-time post-graduate management programs. Notable among the programs are the Masters in Human Resource Development, Masters in Management Studies, Masters in Finance and part-time programs Masters in Finance Management, Masters in Marketing Management, Masters in Information Management, Masters in Human Resources Development Management and Masters in Information Management. It also offers a PhD program.

While the full-time programs are all of two years duration, the part-time programs stretch on to be completed in three years.

Admission Process & Eligibility Criteria

The first step in the application process is registration that involves filling up the application form available on JBIMS website within the prescribed deadlines. The admission committee prepares the list of eligible candidates based on their academic achievements and CAT/MH-CET scores or GMAT score in the case of international applicants. Scores of MAT, XAT, CMAT and ATMA are also accepted. Those selected are required to appear for an in-person assessment (IPA) comprising group activity, personal interview and a written ability test. International candidates are allowed to appear for the interview over Skype. You should have a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in the aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% for the backward class or equivalent category candidates). Those who have appeared in the final year examination of the bachelor’s degree program are also eligible to apply. You should have also scored a minimum of 60% or above in 10th standard (SSC or equivalent) and in12th Standard HSSC or equivalent. For the Reserved category, the minimum is 55%.
