Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Udaipur or IIMU became the youngest institute in the world to become a part of the FT Master in Management Ranking in year 2019. IIM Udaipur is located in the picturesque city of Udaipur in Rajasthan, India and is spread in over 300 acre of area and became functional in 2011. Institute is accredited by AACSB and offers a 1-year full-time MBA course, two 1-year MBA courses and a doctoral course in the field of management.

In year 2020, IIM Udaipur was ranked 17 for MBA course; in 2020, the institute also joined the league of top global management institute by getting listed in the QS 2020 Masters in Management (MIM) Rankings. Until year 2019, only the 3 IIM’s, i.e. IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta were part of this QS MIM Rankings. Moreover, IIM Udaipur’s flagship 2-year MBA course is now a part of the 101+ category among the global 129 programs from 28 countries.

Another major achievement of IIM Udaipur was the rating it received by UT Dallas, institute got rated 4^th among Indian management institutes based on research published in leading global journals. Apart from the above accomplishment, IIM Udaipur also able to become a part of the prestigious Financial Times (FT) Master in Management (MIM) Ranking 2019 in less than 10 years from its establishment. Until 2018, the only the three IIM’s were a part of this ranking namely IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and IIM Calcutta. In Year 2019, IIM Udaipur joined this very elite group at the 76^th position.

Admission Process

IIM Udaipur only accepts an online application process for all its courses. For MBA course, aspirants are required to apply through the official website of CAT and select IIM Udaipur in the options. For the remaining courses, aspirants can apply directly through the official website of IIM Udaipur. For all the courses, final selection is completely entrance-based.

PG Courses

• Admission to IIM Udaipur 2 year flagship MBA course is based on a valid CAT scorecard. Those short-listed on the basis of CAT cutoff will be invited for Personal Appearance in the CAP (Common Application Process), which is a common process for all IIMs participating. For the final selection, a merit list is prepared on the basis of the following components, such as CAT score, Performance in Personal Interview (PI), Written Ability Test (WAT) score, and profile score of the applicant.

Courses

Institute offers 3 post graduate and a doctoral level course to the aspirants in the field of management, namely MBA, MBA GSCM, MBA DEM and PhD. Details of all these courses are as follows:

• The two year MBA is the flagship course of IIM Udaipur. Spread over 6 terms, it includes a compulsory internship at the end of the 1^st In addition to that, almost 60% of the candidates get a chance to study or work abroad for the duration ranging from 2 weeks to 3 months as a part of the one of the following Student Exchange Program, International Corporate Internship, or International Business in Practice (IBP).
• The MBA in Global Supply Chain Management course of IIMU is a one year residential program that is offered through two options:
• 1^st Option: Candidates get to spend an entire semester at Purdue University in the United States of America
• 2^nd Option: The entire course takes place in India with a focus on supply chain management with two weeks of international component
• The MBA in Digital Enterprise Management is also a one year full time residential course and is ideal for professionals with bachelors’ degree and over 3 years of work experience
• PhD course offered by IIM Udaipur is generally of 5 years’ duration and is available across 4 specializations

IIM Udaipur Placements

IIM Udaipur has a dedicated corporate relations team that looks after the recruitment process. The final dates of the placement process every year are posted in the ‘Calendar’ released by the IIMU. Students interested in the recruitment process are needed to apply to the organization and submit their resumes through the Student Placements Committee. The participants are short-listed on the basis of resume for personal interview round(s). Job offers, including details of location, roles, salary package and other relevant terms and conditions are conveyed to the participants through the Student Placements Committee.

In addition to the job recruitments, institute also offers compulsory summer internships of 8 weeks’ duration. These internships are offered between the month of April and May.

Some of the highlights around IIMU placements process 2020 are as follows:

• A total number of 226 candidates were placed out of a total batch of 256 candidates
• 2 candidates opted out of the recruitment process to pursue their own ventures. To support the candidates in their entrepreneurial ambitions, each student will be provided with a 2 year of placement holiday (allowing candidates to use campus placement services at a later date, with-in 2 years of graduating) and financial support in the form of a monthly stipend to help cover the basic cost of living

Scholarships

IIM Udaipur offers multiple merit-based and category-based scholarships to the candidates of two year MBA course. The details of all the scholarships offered by the institute along with the names of the authorities or organizations offering them are as follows:

Apart from above tabulated scholarships schemes, IIM Udaipur offers financial assistance to the candidates who have an annual household income below INR 4.5 Lakh.
