Kellogg Part-Time MBA Class Format

 

The Kellogg part-time MBA class format is exceptionally flexible and provides students with ample time to get acclimatized. As a student, you are given the option to begin your course in any one of their four quarters.

It enables you to decide on how much you can cope up with, based on your personal commitments and professional workload. Their classes are held during the evening, from Monday to Friday.

The timings are from 6 pm to 9 pm. Yes, they also provide classes during the weekends on Saturdays. The timings are 9 am to 12 pm with a break in between and again begins at 1:30 pm to 4:30opm.

Classes are held at Kellogg’s, Chicago location. Depending on your availability, you can also attend their weekday classes generally held for their full-time MBA students. The weekday classes are held at Kellogg’s, Evanston location.

The part-time MBA provides you with the ideal pace to complete your course without a lot of pressure. The traditional pace requires you to attend at least five quarters or can go up to five years.

It comes with an average completion time of two and a half years. You have the traditional pace needed you to have already attended a course previously. What that enables you to do is complete their program in an average of 2 years.

Kellogg Part-Time MBA Curriculum

 

The Kellogg part-time MBA curriculum is based on two main courses: “Leadership in Organizations” and “Business Strategy.” Besides, you will need to take eight core curriculum courses.

You also have electives to help fill out a major (concentration of your MBA focus) or choose a pathway (series of courses depending on the kind of job you are focused on). However, you do not have to complete a major.

 

You can also take part in Kellogg’s experiential learning curriculum. The curriculum is given for full-time students. It lets you delve into team-based live situations enabling you to intensify your practical knowledge and actions based on the scenario.

  • Essay 1: Kellogg’s purpose is to educate, equip & inspire brave leaders who create lasting value.  Provide a recent example where you have demonstrated leadership and created value. What challenges did you face, and what did you learn? (approximately 450 words)
  • Essay 2: Values are what guide you in life and work. What values are important to you, and how have they influenced you?  (approximately 450 words)
  • Additional Information: If needed, use this section to briefly describe any extenuating circumstances in your application (e.g., unexplained gaps in work experience, choice of recommenders, inconsistent or questionable academic performance, etc.).

 

Kellogg Part-Time MBA Interview

 

All students, irrespective of the full-time or part-time program, have to qualify for the interview for admission. The Kellogg MBA admissions interviews are held by the admission officers, alumni, even students at times.
