JBIMS Mumbai Admission 2020: The Programs

The academic session at JBIMS Mumbai starts in August. The institute offers several full-time and part-time post-graduate programs. The full-time program include the Masters in Human Resource Development, Masters in Management Studies, Masters in Finance.

The part-time programs are Masters in Finance Management, Masters in Marketing Management, Masters in Information Management, Masters in Human Resources Development Management and Masters in Information Management. There is also a PhD program.

The full-time programs are of two years duration and the part-time programs stretch on to be completed in three years. 

Eligibility & Admission Process

  • For all postgraduate programs, a bachelor’s degree in any discipline is essential with at least 50% marks in the aggregate or equivalent (at least 45% for the backward class or equivalent category candidates).
  • Final year students in bachelor’s degree program are also eligible to apply. If selected, they should present the required documents, including the degree certificate within the prescribed timeframe.
  • A minimum score of 60% in 10th standard (SSC or equivalent) and in12th Standard HSSC or equivalent is mandatory. For the Reserved category, the minimum score is 55%.
  • Applicants to part-time programs are required to have a minimum of two years’ work experience.
  • The first step in the application process is registration that involves filling up the application form available on JBIMS website within the prescribed deadlines.
  • The candidates are also expected to appear for and present the scores of any of the standardized aptitude tests including CAT/MAH-CET, MAT, XAT, CMAT and ATMA. International applicants, including Non-Resident Indian (NRI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) can submit GMAT scores.
  • The initial screening of the applicants is on the basis of their academic achievements and whether they have met the cut off levels of MAH-CET and other such qualifying tests. Subsequently, the eligible candidates are selected for an in-person assessment (IPA) comprising group activity, personal interview and a written ability test. International candidates are allowed to attend the interview over Skype.
  • GMAT score is also accepted for admission in all courses in case the candidate is a foreign national such as Non-Resident Indian (NRI) or Person of Indian Origin (PIO)

JBIMS Mumbai Admission 2020: MMS

Masters in Management Studies (MMS) is a two-year full-time post-graduate degree program. Following is the weightage given to various factors in the selection of candidates.

  • CAT/ MAH-CET/ CMAT/ GMAT entrance exam score (60%)
  • Class 10, 12 and Graduation marks (15%)
  • Extra-curricular/ work experience (20%)
  • Diversity (5%)
