The Entrepreneurship School Launches TwishQ, a Fashion Jewellery Startup

The Entrepreneurship School (TES), Gurgaon, equips would be entrepreneurs with know-how necessary to create successful ventures and incubates select student ventures. TwishQ, an online jewellery startup that allows its customers to design and personalize their jewellery is one such venture that has been incubated and launched at TES.

Nishant Manchanda and Bharati Pal, are the Founders of TwishQ and they are all set to outfit the modern cosmopolitan Indian women with fine handmade jewellery that is tailor-made to her contemporary taste. 

The start-up also plans to change how women look at jewellery. TwishQ wants to make the buying of jewellery a regular affair instead of an event reserved for a special occasions. The team hopes to accomplish this through affordable pricing and by involving women in the process of jewellery making.

Speaking at the launch, Mr. Sanjeeva Shivesh, CEO, TES said, “The business model of TwishQ is unique. Nishant and his team are building a unique platform for jewellery designers and customers, where they are combining fashion with affordability”.

TwishQ goes beyond what people have come to expect from their friendly neighborhood jewellery shop by providing women a chance to personalize their jewellery through TwishQ Designer Club – a niche community of jewellery design experts and enthusiasts. 

On this occasion, Mr. Nishant Manchanda, Founder and CEO, TwishQ, said, “I am delighted at the incubation support provided by The Entrepreneurship School. It has been a lot of hard work, but the friendly team and start-up ecosystem at TES made it easier.”

One way the the startup is going beyond what most have come to expect from their friendly neighborhood jewellery shop is by providing women a chance to personalize their jewellery through TwishQ Designer Club – a niche community of jewellery design experts and enthusiasts.

Elaborating on this aspect, Manchanda said, “A modern woman wants fashion for each day of the week. The members of TwishQ Designer’s Club add to design capability and portfolio. This means more choice for our customers.”

The launch was accompanied by one such jewellery design workshop, which saw participation by a number of women who are passionate about jewellery but do not have any formal training about the subject.

Talking about the workshop, Bharti Pal, Founder of TwishQ said, “We are very excited about the first workshop. Through ‘TwishQ Designer’s Club’ we want to help people who are passionate about designing jewellery, create their own design even if they have no prior training. Through such workshops, we have connected many enthusiasts and we already have 100+ designers empanelled. We are building a global platform connecting creators of design and consumers of design using innovative technologies. This is a first of its kind initiative and we are very excited about the way things are unfolding for us.”

TwishQ currently sells through online retail shops such as Shopclues and Ebay as well as its own shop and franchises. TwishQ reps said the startup has sold over 5000 units to over 1200 customers till date.
