IIMU PGP Eligibility Criteria And Admission

To be eligible for the short-list, the candidate must have cleared their 10 & 12th with the minimum pass percentage as required by the candidate’s said board and must have a bachelor’s degree scoring at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of candidates belonging to reserved categories of Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Persons with Disability (PwD) categories) awarded by any University or institution.

The batch Strength for the 10th MBA Batch (2020-2022) of the 2 year MBA at IIMU will be around 325.

IIMU Admission Criteria

The IIM Udaipur admission process consists of:

  • The Common Admission Test (CAT) Examination
  • Short-listing of candidates for the Personal Appearance (PA) process.
  • PA contains a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) in which the PA process will be common to all participating IIMs of the Common Admission Process (CAP).
  • Declaration of Merit List based on CAT score, WAT & PI, and Profile score as given in the following tables.

IIMU Selection Criteria for Short-listing to PA (WAT & PI) process

The cut-off percentile marks for eligibility for the PA process in IIM is dependent upon the three sections and the total CAT percentile, which is given below for different categories of students:

 IIMU Selection Criteria for the Merit List

The IIM criteria for preparing the merit list will be as follows:

  • CAT Score*- 55%
  • Personal Appearance (WAT & PI)- 21%
  • Profile- 24%

*CAT Score of the candidate will be divided by Maximum CAT Score among candidates who have applied to IIMU and attended WAT & PI. It is to be clarified that CAT Score would be used for evaluation and not CAT Percentile.

a) CAT Score: IIM Udaipur will use the score obtained in CAT 2019 examination.

b) Personal Appearance: IIM admission will consider the following inputs:

  • Written Ability Test (WAT)- 6%
  • Personal Interview (PI)- 15%

The applying Candidates who do not obtain certain minimum scores in the WAT & PI round will not be considered for the merit list. The minimum scores are dependent upon IIM Udaipur’s discretion.

c) Profile: The 24% component for Profile will be divided as follows:

  • Academic Profile- 10%
  • Work experience- 6%
  • Diversity- 8%

The following will be the weightage for Academic Profile:

  • 10th Standard- 2%
  • 12th Standard- 2%
  • Under Graduation- 4%
  • CA/CS/ICWA (completed)- 2%

**Only full-time and regular work will be considered as work experience. To prove the same, the appointment letter, relieving letter, and work experience certificate have to be submitted. It is mandatory at the time of registration for the program.
