Final Placement 2019-20 at K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Mumbai, saw 97% of the 521 graduating students receiving offers. The top 100 offers notched up an average salary of Rs 13.25 lakh. The highest salary was Rs 28.50 lakh per annum and the average salary of Rs 10.08 LPA.
Despite being a challenging year for business, as many as 165 recruiters participated in the placements including 39 new recruiters. Having received multiple offers, the students were left to choose the best from among them.

Summer Internship recorded 100%placement. The average stipend for the 521-member batch was Rs 25,600 per month with the highest stipend at Rs 1,45,000 per month. As many as 156 firms, including 40 new recruiters came to the campus for summer placements.

Banking & Finance sector topped in sector-wise placements mopping up 31% of the batch in the final placement 2019-20. In summer placement, IT & Consulting claimedthe maximum share of 24%.
SIMSR Highest Salary Trend 2020
Placement 2020 witness the highest salary for PGDM at Rs 28 LPA during the past three years. However, Retail Management salary fell by 50% from Rs 30 LPA last year to Rs 15LPA, the highest pay offer in the sector.
Average Salary Trend 2020
PGDM students received the highest average salary package in 2020at Rs 10.3 LPA when compared to the past 3 years. International Business followed with Rs 9.63 LPA.
