What is CMAT?

The CMAT or the Common Management Admission Test is an entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to MBA / PGDM courses in over 1000 B-schools all over India. This is an online examination for a total duration of three hours. The CMAT question paper consists of 100 questions from Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness.

CMAT Eligibility Criteria

  • Should possess a Graduation degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognized university
  • Final year Graduation students (10+2+3) are also eligible to apply for CMAT. They are required to present a passing certificate at the time of admission

CMAT 2020: Test Cities and Exam Centers

CMAT 2020 will be held at multiple centres at about 75 cities in India. The aspirants can choose up to four locations from the list of test centres available to take the exam. This option is given to each candidate at the time of filling up of the CMAT 2020 application form. Candidates can also choose four cities as their preferred test city.

CMAT Exam Day Guidelines

Candidates appearing for the CMAT 2020 must prepare well for the exam day too. Here are a few points to keep in mind for the exam day:

  • Don’t forget to carry a printout of your CMAT 2020 admit card. Digital, scanned or photocopy of the admit card is not accepted.
  • Reach your CMAT exam centre a minimum of 2 hours before the reporting time
  • Do not carry electronic items or any other valuable items to the exam venue.

Along with CMAT 2019 admit card you should bring a photo ID as a secondary identity proof. Any of the following documents will be accepted as ID proof:

  • Aadhar card
  • PAN card
  • Voter ID card
  • Passport
  • Driver’s license
  • College/University ID card

CMAT Selection Criteria

Almost all the management institutes conduct group discussions and personal interviews to select candidates for MBA/PGDM programs once the CMAT exam results are declared. Each institute has its own admission process held according to the academic cycle.
