MBA without GMAT – What Are Your Options?

Wish you could do an MBA without bothering with the GMAT? You may be surprised to know that GMAT’s ability to cause stress is not lost on GMAC, the makers of the exam.

Of course GRE is an alternative to the GMAT, but for the moment, we are focusing on options for those who are entirely allergic to giving standardized tests. In case GRE makes your blood boil a bit less, read GMAT Vs. GRE? The Choice Is Yours and GMAT vs GRE.

The good news is that there are plenty of B-Schools that don’t require a GMAT score. But while “No GMAT!” may be a cry they are willing to hear, prior work experience, sometimes as high as 8-12 years, is something most B-Schools will not compromise on. A shining resume along with 2-3 letters of recommendation add to your profile. Academic credentials and scores are another factor that may make, or mar, your chances of gaining entry to one of these programs.

If you have a good profile but don’t have time to take the GMAT, have a look at some of the business schools in Canada and Australia, that do not require GMAT scores.
