What is the Executive PGDM course of IMI Delhi?

Executive PGDM at IMI Delhi was among the first of the Business School to offer 15 Month full time residential general management program. It is been on offer since 1984 by IMI initially with the name of PGP in International Management. The Executive PGDM program is uniquely fabricated for those working professionals & mid-level managers who are aiming for the leadership role.

With the DNA of general management program, this course offers a variety of core courses spreading across various fields of management. These courses impart the essential foundation as well as a wider outlook towards business. It is a compulsory to take the field project work; however, participants may choose the topic of field project as per their subject interest.

From the 2^nd April 2020, duration of the PGDM Executive course would be 15 months totally. It will be equally divided into 5 trimesters, each trimester spreading to 3 months approximately. The first 4 trimesters will provide the classroom learning (including the industry engagement & immersion) and in the 5^th (last) trimester, participants needed to do an in-depth field project work in their chosen area of interest.

Admission Open For One Year MBA (EPGDM) At International Management Institute (IMI)

Course Structure

• 900 Contact hours
• 10 elective courses
• 18 core courses
• Filed Project

As per the Institute, the complete ExPGDM program is of 90 credits, where each credit corresponds to the equivalent of 10 hrs of class-room contact hours. During the course of the program, participants will complete 18 core modules of 54 credits, and 30 credits of elective modules as well as a 6 credit field project. The field project needs to be completed & submitted in addition to the final report submission and presentation by the end of the Fifth Term.

Candidates opting for the International module will do2 elective courses with the international partners. Rest of the candidates will do 2 elective courses at IMI, Delhi. A candidate will also be provided the opportunity to pursue a Course of Independent Study as per the norms defined in the candidates’ handbook at IMI. Classes are of 90 minutes duration and each course (of 3 credits) has 20 sessions which means 30 hours of class room learning. The entire program is completed over a period of 15 months.

Eligibility Criteria 

For Indian National Applicants:

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from any recognized university with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
• Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience/ or self-employment as on 31^st March 2020 after completing the graduation
• A Valid GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA score

For Foreign Nationals:

• A minimum of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any discipline from the government recognized university of their respective countries with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA
• Minimum of 5 years of professional work experience/ or self-employment as on 31^st March 2020 after completing the graduation
• Only a valid GMAT score will be considered

Please Note: Applicants without entrance exam (GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA) scores may be admitted provisionally to the program on the basis of their performance in IMI’s Admission Test, but It is compulsory to clear & submit the exam score of the any one of the required tests (GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/CMAT/MAT/ATMA) within 6 months of joining the program.

• Self-sponsored applicants will be short-listed based on the following information provided by them in the application form:
  • GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ IMI test Score
  • Academic background record
  • Quality of work experience
• Short-listed applicants will be invited for Personal Interview round to evaluate their suitability for the PGDM Executive course. Tentatively, interviews will happens in the month of November/ December. For foreign applicants, personal interview round may be conducted on Skype.
• At the time of personal interview, copy of following has to be submitted:
  • Copy of GMAT/ XAT/ CAT Test scorecard
  • Work Experience certificate
